Housing Correction Steep & Swift… No Spin Here
Every homeowner that is selling or planning to sell in the next 2 years should view this video.
This is one of the few housing experts who seems to know what she is talking about, I agree with her completely. The stabilization Dolores talks about, in my humble opinion, could be a process that will take at least another two years before it hits the flat or so called bottom.
In the last real estate market correction of the late eighties and early nineties known as the Savings and Loan Crisis, it took 10 years for a home to have the same value it once had at the peak of the 80′s Real Estate Boom. It took 12 if you calculate in the rate of inflation. This was a minor correction compared to the perfect storm we are now experiencing.
The current market correction could take a lot longer to recapture the value real estate we once had it’s peak, if you take into account the overvaluation of homes, the steep correction that is occurring and the way past real estate market corrections have acted. It could take 15 to 18 years to regain the peak values we once had.
